Ms. Zollner is a masters prepared nurse with over 15 years of nursing service in VA. She is also a community-based practicing Forensic Nurse Examiner (FNE) and holds Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Certification through the International Association of Forensic Nursing (IAFN). She is also a certified Trauma Healing Institute Facilitator and a Board-Certified Sexual Assault Mental Health Coach with the American Academy of Christian Counselors. Her Forensic career has focused on improving health justice for vulnerable and marginalized populations. She has extensive industry knowledge having consulted with multiple health care systems, law enforcement agencies including the FBI and Homeland Security. She has also consulted with non-profits including oversees in Europe and South America. She has conducted numerous trainings for healthcare workers, law enforcement and communities. She has served or continues to serve on multiple State, County and City Sexual Assault Response Teams (SART) and the US. Attorney Generals State Level Taskforce for Human Trafficking. In 2019, Ms. Zollner wrote the whitepaper “Advancing Veteran Access to Care: The Urgency and Case for Forensic Nursing Services in the Veterans Health Administration”. In 2023, under the purview of the VA CNO and AUSH for Patient Care Service, she started the VA Forensic Nursing Field Advisory Committee (FFAC) and serves as the National Clinical Advisor. She serves as the chair of the VA Forensic Field Advisory Board (FFAB). Further she represents the VHA and Office of Nursing Services on multiple related national initiatives such as Megabus 5304 and by providing U.S. Congressional Briefings on Sexual Assault and Forensic Nursing.
