Tamara Dean BSN, RN, SANE-A, SANE-P is a forensic nurse for Honor Health in Scottsdale, Arizona. Honor Health serves as a community-based program, seeing approximately 2500 patients a year. Tamara is currently enrolled in her master’s in public health at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, where she also resides. Tamara is also an adjunct clinical instructor at Grand Canyon University, teaching OB, population health and foundations.
Tamara’s first love in nursing was labor and delivery and is still very passionate about women’s health issues. She also focuses on teaching new nurses the importance of autonomy and critical thinking in patient care, encouraging them to make informed decisions and take ownership of their practice while ensuring they understand the significance of collaboration and teamwork in a healthcare setting. Tamara was nominated for Nurse of the Year, March of Dimes in 2020.
