Sexual assault is often viewed as primarily affecting women by male perpetrators; yet, growing information indicates the high prevalence of sexual assault of assigned male at birth (AMAB) individuals. The topic of sexual assault of AMAB individuals will begin with discussion of the range of prevalence rates of AMAB sexual victimization. Research findings from sexual assault medical forensic examination charts of 430 AMAB patients will be presented to explore unique sexual assault vulnerabilities of AMAB individuals. DNA analysis findings from sexual assault kits of AMAB victims will be shared. Multidisciplinary practice and policy implications of the research findings will be discussed.
