This session offers culturally grounded knowledge and practical tools to support effective self-care, community care, and the prevention of burnout. Participants will explore wellness through a healing-centered and trauma-informed lens, centering practices that nourish individuals while strengthening the collective. Designed to build organizational capacity, this training helps agencies sustain high-quality, compassionate services for survivors by prioritizing the well-being of their staff. Through reflection, dialogue, and actionable strategies, we’ll reimagine what it means to care for ourselves and one another as we move from crisis toward healing.

Define Selfcare and Wellness Through a Healing-Centered, Culturally Responsive Lens: Participants will explore the intersection of wellness, culture, and trauma, and identify how culturally grounded practices support individual and collective healing.
Apply Practical Tools for Self and Community Care: Participants will gain actionable strategies by creating a wellness toolkit to prevent burnout and promote sustainability through self-care, community care, and organizational support.
Strengthen Organizational Capacity for Trauma-Responsive Practice: Participants will examine how prioritizing staff well-being leads to stronger, more compassionate services for survivors and identify ways to embed wellness into the culture and structure of their organization.
