This workshop offers an in-depth exploration of forensic nursing in postmortem medical forensic exams, specifically when sexual violence is suspected. Participants will learn about death investigation systems, the role of forensic nurses in performing postmortem exams, and the identification of postmortem changes. The course includes hands-on stations utilizing cadavers for practical education and a simulated death investigation scenario with a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE)present. This workshop is designed to enhance the skills of forensic nurses and provide a comprehensive understanding of their crucial role in postmortem examinations.
