This workshop provides an in-depth examination of intimate partner violence (IPV) dynamics, with a focus on the anatomy and mechanisms of strangulation. Participants will learn how to effectively assess and document strangulation injuries, as well as the physical and psychological impact of IPV. Through visualization activities and simulated strangulation assessments, learners will gain hands-on experience in identifying and responding to signs of strangulation. This interactive workshop is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills to better support victims and improve their clinical and forensic assessments in cases of IPV.
