Jessica Blake, APRN, FNP-C, SANE-P, SANE-A, is a Family Nurse Practitioner (NP) at BraveBe Child Advocacy Center in Lincoln, Nebraska, where she provides compassionate and specialized medical care to victims of child abuse. She has earned both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Before joining the medical team at BraveBe, Jessica worked as an NP at Project Harmony in Omaha. Focusing her advanced practice career on child maltreatment, she has developed a deep understanding of how to effectively care for children who have experienced trauma. Jessica holds dual certification as a SANE-A and SANE-P, indicating the advanced competency and skill she brings to her practice of critical, tailored forensic medical care.
Driven by a passion for helping child abuse victims and their families, Jessica advocates for the advancement of forensic nursing and the vital role that medical providers play in Child Advocacy Centers. She is a dedicated to increasing awareness about the role forensic nursing and trauma-informed care play in child abuse and maltreatment. As a clinical preceptor for the UNMC College of Nursing, Jessica is also committed to mentoring the next generation of nurses, highlighting the importance of and opportunities within the field of forensic nursing.
