Shaun Johnson is a highly skilled Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) with over eight years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care to survivors of sexual violence. Shaun has developed expertise in forensic medical examinations, evidence collection, trauma-informed care, and multidisciplinary collaboration with law enforcement and advocacy groups throughout their career.
In addition to direct patient care, Shaun is a dedicated educator who creates and delivers specialized training programs for new and experienced forensic nurses. Their educational initiatives focus on best practices in forensic nursing, integrating trauma-informed approaches, and staying up to date with advancements in forensic science.
Shaun earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and is currently expanding their expertise by pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) at the University of New England. This advanced degree reflects their commitment to bridging clinical care with public health initiatives to improve outcomes for survivors and prevent future violence.
With a blend of clinical experience, education, and leadership, Shaun continues to make significant contributions to the field of forensic nursing, empowering others through education and advocating for the needs of survivors at both the individual and community levels.
