Iris V. Potter, BSN, RN, SANE-A is the Associate Clinical Program Director of District of
Columbia Forensic Nurse Examiners (DCFNE), a nonprofit providing trauma-informed
forensic care to adolescent and adult survivors of violence in Washington, DC. She has
over 24 years of nursing experience with areas of concentration in Labor and Delivery
and the ICU. Ms. Potter has practiced as a forensic nurse for DCFNE since 2014 caring
for survivors of domestic and familial violence as well as survivors of sexual assault.
