Anne Galloway, BSN, RN, SANE-A and SANE-P has been employed as the program manager for the Child Abuse Referral and Evaluation (CARE) and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) programs at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York for the past 25 years. Anne’s focus is on enhancing care provided to victims of violence by modeling her own practice and mentoring other health professionals in providing trauma informed care particularly when exposed to this patient population.
Prior to her SANE experience, Anne was an emergency department nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center also in Syracuse.
Anne is active in the New York State Chapter of the International Association of Forensic Nurses. She received her RN diploma from Crouse-Irving Memorial School of Nursing in Syracuse in 1982, her initial SANE training from Columbia University in January, 1998 and her BSN from SUNY Delhi in 2024.
